    AIP（美国物理联合会，American Institute of Physics）成立于1931年，其主要任务是物理知识和应用的推广普及，也是世界上居于领导地位的物理期刊出版社之一。主要的研究方向为物理学和天文物理学，并且为这一研究领域的科学家和教育工作者及学生服务。AIP及其会员的出版物占据了全球物理学界研究文献的四分之一以上。AIP 是一家出版研究性期刊、杂志、光盘、会议论文集及名录（包括印刷品和电子版）的专业出版社，通过Scitation平台为成员学会和相关学会提供电子版文献发行与访问服务，数据回溯至1930 年。
    Scitation平台由AIP（美国物理联合会）开发，为多个学/协会的科技期刊、会议、标准等出版物提供电子访问服务。目前Scitation平台收录了27个出版社近200种科技期刊，任何Scitation平台出版物订户都可以使用该平台浏览和检索功能以及个性化服务，也支持跨Scitation和SPIN （Searchable Physics Information Notices）数据库检索。
